JMG Limited, an electromechanical solutions provider in Nigeria has joined global voices in the call for the adoption of cleaner energy to save the planet.
Addressing journalists during a media interactive session in commemoration of international day of clean energy held at the company’s head office in Victoria Island, Lagos on Monday, JMG’s Chief Commercial Officer, Rabih Jammal stated that solar energy provides reliable and clean power supply.
Jammal noted that the solar energy project has reduced carbon emissions in the air and greatly cut down fuel costs.
“This solar initiative is reducing power cost, enabling communities. As more countries are moving towards sustainability and sustainable solutions, moving towards clean energy for Nigeria becomes an economic imperative,” he said.
Jammal added that while the international clean energy day is a timely reminder about the importance of clean energy, JMG reinforces its commitment to being part of Nigeria’s energy transitioning.
In his presentation, JMG’s Product Development Manager of Hybrid Power Systems, Raymond Nwose highlighted the company’s three solar power delivery models to accommodate various financial capacities and needs.
He said that the first model is outright purchase, the second option is lease-to-own, whereby customers can spread payments over a period of up to 84 months, after which it becomes theirs and the third option is power as a service for customers to pay per kilowatt hour depending on their power consumption.
Speaking on solar power supply in rainy season, Nwose assured that there is still power generation from the solar panel in such season but it is reduced.
“Having in mind that there are various kinds of weather, we install a system that will work. During rainy season, we advise our customers to manage the supply and don’t use everything that is being generated by the solar at that time.
“We provide solar energy services for every category of individuals/organisations for their homes, institutions, healthcare centres, hospitals, companies and industries; making sure everyone is captured in the system with quality solar solutions at affordable price,” he said.
Stressing the need for more individuals and organisations to adopt solar energy, Nwose said that the company’s customers have recorded massive reduction of fuel usage and hybrid solar system upgrade.
He added that users can monitor the energy usage directly through their devices and receive 24/7 customers support, including cleaning of solar panels for better power generation.
Also, the head of JMG’s Solar Division,
Abbass Hussein spoke on the company’s lease-to-own option introduced to bring more households and companies into clean energy.
“JMG offers the lease option for solar so that the customer can buy the kilowatt that they want on a monthly basis depending on the contract with them. This will help them save more on power cost and in their monthly consumption,” Hussein said.
