NTPC Green Energy Ltd, a subsidiary of NTPC Ltd , has won 1,000 MW capacity in Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL)’s solar PV power project auction. The company signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) at a discovered tariff of ₹2.56 per kWh on Wednesday (June 4).

This week, NTPC Green Energy partnered with Honeywell Automation India to explore SAF production in India. SAF, derived from non-petroleum feedstocks, significantly reduces air transport emissions.

The companies plan to use Honeywell’s eFining technology to produce SAF from carbon dioxide (CO₂) captured at NTPC power plants and green hydrogen, further diversifying NTPC’s green fuel portfolio. NTPC aims to blend SAF with jet fuels, strengthening its presence in low-carbon energy solutions.
