Plant diversity under PV modules rivals grassland at Japanese solar park

Plant diversity under PV modules rivals grassland at Japanese solar park

Researchers surveying a 55 MW solar plant on a former golf course in central Japan found that plant diversity under the panels was statistically indistinguishable from open grassland, with communities resembling forest edges, after five years of only twice-yearly mowing. Heterojunction solar cell built with biomass lignin-based silver paste achieves 25.96% efficiency

Heterojunction solar cell built with biomass lignin-based silver paste achieves 25.96% efficiency

Chinese researchers have developed a biomass lignin-based silver paste for HJT solar cells that reduces reliance on petroleum-based resins and improves electrical performance. The optimized paste increased solar cell efficiency from 25.01% to 25.96% while improving printability, adhesion, and conductivity.
